Previously used for making keels in ship construction due to it’s natural resistance to decaying in water, elm also has an interlocking grain making it resistant to splitting. Handmade using a single piece of polished elm wood and fitted with a Sterling silver lap-band. With a strong steel frame, these umbrellas are reliable companions built to last. This umbrella can be cut to the appropriate length for the user and will be finished with a brass ferrule.
