This striking gilt-plated skull handle mounted on a black lacquered beech wood stick. The skull handled stick has a long tradition in stick making and was carried by Charles Darwin as his ‘memento mori’- a means of considering the vanity of earthly life and the transient nature of all earthly goods and pursuits.
This walking stick is unsuitable for us as a support and should be used for decorative purposes only. This walking stick can be cut to the appropriate length for the user and will be finished with a straight rubber ferrule.
