How do/can I order?
We are not a mail order business but we are able to accept orders for our products by fax, letter or email. You will find our details on the ‘Contact Us’ page.

Do you post overseas?
Yes, we are able to post most of our products internationally. Please contact us and let us know what you are interested in and where you would like it to be sent. We will give you an accurate quotation

Do you accept credit cards?
We accept most major credit and debit cards.

How do I pay?
We can accept payment by credit or debit card details sent to us in an email, or if you prefer by fax or letter. The details should be include: card number, expiry date, start date (where available) 3 digit security code from the reverse of the card. Please do not telephone us with these details.

What details do you need for my order?
Payment and shipping details with the order, including contact telephone number/s

How long will it be between sending the order and receiving the items?
The time taken will vary enormously depending on such factors as making up time And availability of parts. This can be from two weeks to several months.

Do you repair umbrellas?
We only repair umbrellas made or sold by us.

I live abroad, how do I send my James Smith umbrella back to you for repair?
Please send the umbrella back to us carefully wrapped and clearly marked ‘Of British manufacture and my own property being returned to the UK for repair.’ This prevents the levy of import duty. Please enclose a letter stating what is wrong with the umbrella and how the damage has occurred.

Can I order umbrellas in different colours?
Some are only available in a limited colour range; we will be happy to supply further details.

Is this your full range?
The products on the website are a selection from our range. The full range of products is considerably wider and can be viewed in our shop, which we would encourage you to visit if at all possible.

How do I measure myself for an umbrella or walking stick?
All walking sticks and some umbrellas can be cut to a comfortable walking length for you, or made to a particular length if required. We need to know your height in order to achieve the greatest accuracy, we recommend you send us your height as well.

Why can’t I buy online?
We do not have the resources to operate a website shop: the website is just to indicate which products you can normally buy when you visit our shop.
